Under general direction of the SVP/CLO, the Business Services Manager is responsible for managing the daily activities of the Business Services Department and its assigned employees in order to achieve Credit Union goals.

Review of Duties:

Develops annual budget for department. Continuously monitors the financial and operational performance of the department and investigates variances to the approved budget. Regularly reports variances and explanations for variances to the SVP/CLO.

Spreads financial statements and tax returns and prepares detailed financial projections.

Fosters an entrepreneurial environment that allows each employee to achieve sales and service goals.

Manages vendor relationships to effectively address business requirements.

Performs operational analysis of Credit Union Branch Operations to ascertain level of member services, operations audit and compliance.

Analyzes results of plans and coordinates adjustments to ensure profitable operations. Assures effective and timely communication with all branch staff.

Prepares and presents pertinent reports for various audiences, attends and participates in staff meetings and committee meetings.

Under general supervision of the AVP Internal Audit/Compliance, the Internal Audit/Compliance QC Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of duties, which may include but is not limited to compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations, development and maintenance.

Review of Duties:

Directly responsible for auditing pre-funding mortgage loan files to measure the performance against legal and regulatory requirements as well as investor and internal policies and submitting post funding mortgage loans to our external vendor along with follow up with returned audit reports/results.

With guidance and assistance from management, this position will help in determining whether there is any significant origination or collateral issues that would qualify as material defects and could result in violation of any Regulatory, Compliance, or Operational requirements.

Review files based on investor and Credit Union guidelines. Focus on income calculations, asset verification, loan data integrity, appraisal, title, credit reports and closing documents to ensure decisions made and documents requested conforms to investor and/or Credit Union guidelines.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive prefunding quality control (QC) review process that conforms to secondary market and investor requirements.

Under general supervision of the Real Estate AVP, a Jr. Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for performing a wide variety of member loan duties in the Real Estate Department where needed.

Review of Duties:

Assists Mortgage Originators with obtaining pending documentation and following up on loan files.

Reviews and verifies information, obtains credit reports, verifies credit references and Processes applications in Loan Origination System (LOS) Computes interest and payments.

Communicates regularly with Real Estate Agents and Title and Escrow Officers to ensure timely closing of loan transactions.

We desire prior customer service and cash handling experience, as well as flexibility in the offices that we have open on Saturdays (includes the Five Cities, Lompoc, Paso Robles and Santa Maria branches).
