Branch Manager at Crossroads and Vandenberg Village/Air Force Base 

The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors’ lives.  This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members.  An important element of this outstanding service is identifying the financial needs of the member and effectively suggesting solutions that will improve the member’s financial life.  

Additionally, under general direction of the VP and AVP Commercial Lending, the Branch Manager is accountable for the management, direction and operation of the branch and branch employees activities towards attainment of Credit Union goals by providing maximum member benefit. Additionally, the Branch Manager is responsible for developing profitable new business and cross-selling all applicable Credit Union products and services to existing portfolio and prospective member/clients. Level is determined by branch asset size.

In this position you will be responsible for soliciting relationships from profitable new commercial loans and deposits as well as profitable new consumer loans and deposits.

Relationship Manager

Under general direction of the AVP of Retail Sales and AVP Branch Operations and Support, the Relationship Manager is responsible for the management, direction and operation of branch sales and services by coaching the branch employees’ activities towards attainment of Credit Union goals and providing maximum member benefit. The Relationship Manager promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union at all times.

Essential Duties:

Actively participates in various community organizations and events to promote the image of the Credit Union. 
 
Accountable for the attainment of branch sales goals and operational compliance.
 
Works in tandem with and under the direct supervision of AVP Retail Sales to ensure branch sales goals are being attained and that training and development of Lending Specialists is actively pursued.
 
Works in tandem with AVP of Branch Operations and Support to ensure front line operations are being accurately performed and that training and development of front line staff is actively pursued.
 
Plans, manages, directs, organizes and coordinates the sales and operational activities of the assigned branch/es, including cross selling, member service, quality, safety and security control
 
Provides leadership and supervision of branch sales and services
 
Provides leadership and supervision of branch operations and services
 
Ensures the application and compliance with established Credit Union operating policies and
procedures
 
Regularly schedules and conducts branch meetings to inform employees of Credit Union goals, promotions, products, services, and activities and to encourage participation and open communication
 
Cross-sells Credit Union products and services
 
Compiles and analyzes branch operating reports for management
 
Reviews branch activities and formulates recommendations concerning sales, services and policies.
 
Represents Credit Union at community activities and events

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Credit Union policies and applicable laws
 
Human Resources responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interviewing, selecting, orienting, training, assigning and directing work, scheduling, motivating, coaching, verifying employee time records, reviewing and evaluating employee performance, rewarding and disciplining.
 
Follows policies and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) to ensure daily compliance with current regulations. Responsible for ensuring all assigned employees are trained and adhere to all BSA, AML and CIP policies and procedures
 
Talks with employees and members, answers questions, addresses complaints, and resolves situations while using good judgment and protecting credit union interests
 
Ensures the safety and security of employees and credit union equipment and property, including cleanliness, proper maintenance and safe work practices.

Software Development Officer 2

The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors’ lives.  This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members.
 
Additionally, under general supervision of the Software Development Manager, a Software Development Officer 2 performs a full range of programming tasks, including program design, program coding, debugging and documentation for the core data processing system, and peripherals, including data manipulation, input and output routines reflecting a variety of equipment configurations.

Review of Duties: 

In this position you will program logical interfaces and applies techniques for efficient program logic and data manipulations, in addition to creating operator and control instructions.  You will perform intermediate programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.

Lending Specialist


The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors' lives.  This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. Additionally, under general supervision of the Assistant Lending Manager, Consumer Loan Manager, Consumer Lending AVP, or AVP/Regional Manager, a Lending Specialist is responsible for performing a wide variety of loan based functions.   A Lending Specialist promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union at all times.

Wealth Management Registered Rep

The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors’ lives.  This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members.  Additionally, under general supervision of the Vice President, Wealth Management, the Registered Representative is responsible for performing a wide variety of duties relating to soliciting, selling and servicing securities and insurance products to Credit Union clients and preparing tax returns.  A Registered Representative promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union.

Qualification Requirements (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.):

Education and Experience 
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Marketing or related field and three (3) years related work experience marketing securities and insurance products; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent designation is desired

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
Series 7 General Securities Representative License
Series 63 State Uniform Securities Agent License
Series 65 State Uniform Investment Advisor License
California Life and Health Insurance License
Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance

Education Manager

The primary purpose of this job is to assist the Credit Union to achieve its mission to make a difference in our neighbors’ lives.  This is accomplished by providing outstanding service to both internal and external members.  Under general supervision of the Senior Vice President, Human Resources, the Education Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and directing employee training and development programs, activities and Education Department employees.  An Education Manager promotes and maintains a positive image of the Credit Union.

Essential Duties:

Confers with management and develops research methods, gathers information, analyzes data, assesses training needs and recommends training programs

Develops and delivers training programs based on identified training needs and changes in Credit Union policy, procedures, programs, services or products

Selects appropriate training methods, such as individual, group or computer based training (CBT); self 
study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-play, written tests or other activities

Reviews, evaluates, purchases and utilizes CBT software; ensures information is accurate and updates 
timely

Develops and maintains appropriate training materials and utilizes software, manuals, and other 
educational products

Develops criteria to measure employee performance and training effectiveness

Utilizes a variety of methods, including written tests, simulated activities and CBT software, to test and 
certify/recertify employees’ competency levels

Evaluates employees’ test results and makes recommendations to employees’ managers for improving 
employees’ competency

Develops, conducts, supervises and evaluates new employees during orientation

As a Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Team Leader, develops department contingency strategy, tactics, plans and policies for each major tasks, accesses and uploads revised department policies, procedures, practices, forms, system passwords and vendor lists into Business Continuity software.  During an exercise or a disaster, executes department BCP, including coordinating recovery activity among team members, facilitating communication between team and Leadership Team and directing any appropriate communication with third parties.

Member Services Officer

The Member Services Officer (teller) performs a wide variety of financial transactions and duties while providing friendly, accurate, responsive service to our members. We desire prior customer service and cash handling experience. Saturday work hours are required at the Five Cities, Lompoc, Paso Robles and Santa Maria branches.
